Hi Sue, Thank you for that very inspirational article. I have also got alopecia universal after being alopecia free for over 30 years! I had it first as a child and lost all my hair when i was 27 years then after 5 years it all grew back again after the birth of my 3rd child, It returned after an operation last December and by June of this year all my hair had gone and I am back to wigs and scarves. I admire you tremendously for being able to go out without wearing a wig or scarf. I must admit I would find that very difficult. I am also writing a book about my life not only having to live with alopecia but also having two disabled daughters and coping with breast cancer in 2006. I have ben cleared of cancer as it was caught very early on so i did not need chemo and I thought that I had escaped my hair loss until December when for some reason my hair fell out after a minor operation after having gone through an L.D. breast reconstruction the year before with no problems! alopecia is so unpredictable. Anyway Very Best Wishes Sally HornbyReplyCancel

    • Thank you for sharing your story too Sally and good luck with your book. Mikaela XReplyCancel

Why was this time in their lives so important? Because her daughter was […]
